RE: four wheel drive hubs
I have a 1994 Ford F250 that came with automatic hubs. Converting them from auto to manual is not that hard. I have had mine out several times for brake work, u-joint replacement etc. One thing I want you to be aware of is you need to know what size front axle and hubs you have. When I bought my Warn manual hubs 6 plus years ago they were around $300.00. My truck has the heavy duty front axle and hubs. The lighter duty I think will run you around half of the heavy duty. Go get yourself a truck manual that shows diagrams on taking apart both the autos and manual hubs, Hanes is one publication. I have 291,000 miles on my truck and I work it everyday. They are very good trucks. I would set aside a day when there is a mechanic open just in case you have any questions.
