I have a 99 F350 DRW Diesel 4x4 and am wondering what type of gear oil i use for my front end. my manual is still packed and i cannot find this information.
ive got a couple bottles left over from my rear end... can i use it for the front "80w-85w-90 Gear Oil"

i pulled the refill plug off and noticed that whats onthe back of it looks grey, more like grease than oil. otherwise i wouldnt have thought twice.
