Default Fuel injector parts mismatch

I have a 1991 Ford F-250 with the 5.8.

It is have really bad ignition issues. I’ve found one injector to be stuck open. It sprays fuel when the fuel pump primes the rail, before the engine ever starts. It’s so bad, the engine won’t restart after it warms up, can’t tow and mpg is about a gallon per 2 miles.

The part on the truck is a FOTE-C3A and the injector has a yellow cap.

When I search that part number, across multiple parts catalogs, I find a fuel injector with a red color cap

Internet searches show -
yellow cap = 19lb/hr
red cap = 21lb/hr

The cost difference between the two colored caps is significant. I’ve searched by part number and VIN on the official Ford part store, and it pulls a red cap injector.

Any advice on the color discrepancy?
