Default Gas to diesel swap

I have an 89 F250 with a 351 Windsor and a 5 speed. I have a friend that has an 89 F350 dually with a 7.3 turbo diesel and automatic transmission in it that has been totaled. Motor and trans still good in his truck. My 351 doesn't have enough power when pulling my trailers. How hard and how much work to convert from gas to diesel? The diesel motor was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago and I can pick it up for $1000.00. Just not sure with the year of the truck if it would be worth all the work or not. If you have any knowledge that would help it would be greatly appreciated.
