I am searching the net for photo instructions and/or text walk through on how to remove the factory headlights and install the new after market lights. Do you have any suggestions on what site to visit? any first hand knowledge? or any other helpfull knowledge on how to get the lights out? I am trying to avoid taking the batteries out. There is also a manufactured piece of steel that sits of the headlights that I would rather not remove. I bought the lights off ebay but they did not come with any kind of instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No need to remove the batteries..

The 'amber' park lamp is easy to remove and is the first step.. Look between the top edge of the bumper and the amber lower park lamp (the gap between them) and you'll see 2 phillips head screws.. Remove them both first,, then on the very upper end of the amber lens where it wraps around the fender at the 'very tip' it's help in to position there with a 'bullet style' push connector.. Resonably tight.. PULL STRAIGHT AHEAD on that portion of the lamp assembly with the lower screws removed and the complete park lamp assembly will come off.. Then,, if you haven't already,, open the hood and you'll see 2 screws on the top of the headlamp trim/door (on top of the grille area) remove them.. With the amber park lamp removed you'll then have access to the lower headlamp door/trim panel screws (2).. The headlamp bucket can be removed (if needed) by squeezing in on the release tabs on the 'face' of the headlamp adjusters (in the area where the screw portion goes through the front)..

I appreciate your help! It is 9:20 p.m.my time and I don't think that I will be working on them tonight. Will you be around tomorrow if I have any questions? I will take another look at the lights tomorrow. Thanks again for your help.

Thank you very much for your help. I think my factory lights were a little different than your description. You were spot on with the amber lamps though. Getting those out made it much easier to get the headlights out. I appreciate the pictures too. My new headlights look great and I have you to thank for the help. Take care!

Yours were probably the 'Aerodynamic' lamps.. Replaceable halogen bulb instead of complete sealed beam unit.. Most are the standard sealed beam..

Glad it went smooth..
