Default Help with 2017 F250 5th wheel setup please!!

Just bought a new 250, almost bought a fifth wheel today but stopped in my tracks because of height issues. The fifth wheel body over the truck bed and my bed rails are virtually at the same height with the trailer level. Since I need at least 5 inches clearance above my truck rails, the truck is gonna have to squat nearly 5 inches under load to make the setup work. I have yet to buy a hitch, or I would have tested the setup. If I'm going to have to buy a bumper pull because of truck height issues, I don't want to buy a hitch I might not use. The pin weight will be 1400 pounds. Anyone know how much the truck will squat under weight? 5 inches seems a lot, and that is what I need!

If your trailer has 15 inch wheels, it probably won't work well. This is an issue with modern trucks that was just exaggerated with the 17 Ford Superduty trucks. I have a '16 F350 SRW. I had to search far and wide to find one with 17 inch wheels in order for the truck to be low enough for my fifth wheel. The '17 models are even higher. Adjustments to allow more clearance between the truck bed and the camper will only make the trailer tow more and more nose high.
