Default help

i went out and bought a listening stethoscope and i had to possible problems. my egr pump when put to my ear sounded like it was scraping inside and my water pump sounded the same. how can you tell if the pump is bad or not. i sprayed wd40 on both pumps and nothing stopped the squeeking. and if it was a bad pump would it squeek all the time. when i drove it squeeked alot and then i parked and the squeeking stopped and it came back only when i accelarate.
