Default Help!!! I can't find my Haynes Manual!!!

Hi I'm a newbie...and I need some help. I have a 1995 e250 van, straight six, three speed automatic transmission. I changed the spark plugs tonight and everything started back up great. The problem I have now is the transmission wont shift out of first unless I move the shift lever into 2. It wont shift into drive though. Did I knock something loose or is there a sensor I might have damaged while changing plugs? I checked the kickdown cable and it appears to be real loose. I set it way up so it wouldnt kickdown to see if that was it...still wont shift.. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

It could definitely be too loose of a kickdown cable. There might also be a vaccuum line that may have come loose. Check both of these.

Check the end of the kickdown cable at the trans. It should go in the opposite direction from when you floor the throttle pedal. If it is stuck in the floored position manually return it and you may just find the problem.
