my dad has a 2000 f350 with the 7.3L diesel 4x4, it has a hit and miss sound in the front end when he hits a bump. this past weekend he hooked up to the camper and we did not hear the noise once with the camper hooked up and went about 60-65 miles one way. but we unhooked it and were still hearing the noise. we went back to the motor craft wheel bearings and still have the noise. so what could be making the noise it sounds like metal rubing on metal if that helps. i am new to this forum. but we are very confused on this.
