Leaf spring question?
Hello, I have a 2016 F250 4wd crew cab Lariat, short wheel base with a service body. When standing at the rear looking at the truck it driver side is lower than the passenger side. I thought maybe the full tank of fuel was it, but got it down to empty and it's the same. It was driving we crazy so I installed a set of air bags that I can inflate separately. Now I can inflate the driver side and make it level.
My question , can a leaf spring go bad on one side ?

Leaf springs do get fatigued.
That is sometimes why an older vehicle with leaf springs rides a little softer.
If it is a problem, spring shops can re arch a good leaf or two, or replace leafs that have lost their character. Most can make the leafs they need.
Might be a good move to consult with a shop capable of doing this.

Most of the time, the left side sags more than the right on F150's. You have the fuel tank plus your body weight puts more stress on the left side leafs than the right side. When my truck sagged on the left about one inch, I put a metal block (1.25 inches thick) between the leafs and axle to make up the difference which it was sagging. I am not in favor of air bags.
