I have an F1 50, 1994, 5.0, I'm driving on steep inclines I start to lose power I don't know if it's fuel pump on the throttle body assembly or something has anybody experienced this problem and know how to fix it thank you. Jeff

What if anything have you done or had done so far
Are these inclines on the roads where you normally drive

 

Hi I have I have roughly 221,000 miles on it, that's on the truck put a new short block in at hundred thousand, I put new fuel filter on new plugs distributor cap and rotor, doesn't do it all the time only on inclines on flat surfaces it's fine around town it's fine the more I read about what this is I'm leaning more towards the fuel pump I do believe it's original pump on the truck so maybe that's it but that's why throughout you guys for some help, thanks Jeff

 

have you ever changed the catalytic converter?.. do you smell dirty exhaust gasses?..

 

Did this problem just start recently or have you had it for quite a while? I am wondering if the initial timing is set correctly.

 

Gary, as far as I know that's the original catalytic converter, it does smell little funky, is there a way to test it to know if it's good or bad, thanks

 

Hanky, the problem comes and goes doesn't do it all the time I guess I'll have the initial timing check to see if that's set right, thanks Jeff
