Just bought 2005 F350 3 months ago with the V10. Ran great till it started having a bad hesitation, and no power. Had it to the dealer, and they replaced the fuel pump under warranty. I paid to replace the fuel filter, it also had a check engine light on. Ran great for next few weeks, now the light came on again and hesitation is back! Anybody have the same problem? If so what was your fix?

Sometimes checking easy things like an air filter or looking for dirty battery cables will help. Other times a code reader can narrow it down in one shot. Then again there are times when for example an alternator brush jumps, jams or breaks loose or a fuel lineor injector clogs or a wire goes bad or gets loose (example: a loose alternator wire under it's cover/cap). Check the obvious like the oil, water, trans. fluid and if the obvious lesser things check out OK then it's time to move on.

I just changed oil 2 weeks ago. Last readout from code was engine misfire, cleared that before it went to dealer. Code was back before I got back home from parts store where we cleared it. It threw the code yesterday but seemed to run ok the rest of the way home. It's going back to the dealer this week, we'll see what they come up with this time, it's under warranty until the end of the year. I failed to mention that it had 6700 miles when I bought it--maybe there's a reason for getting rid of it so soon!
