need help with 02 f250 not starting

Default need help with 02 f250 not starting

hi to all im new to this forum and i need some help with my truck. its a 02 f250 sd lariat with 10 inch suspension and 39s. as i was goin to work one day i was driving down the road and the truck just died. cranked her back up and went another 2 miles and it died again this time it wouldnt start. i i have replaced the starter, camshaft pos sensor, crank sensor, new plugs and still wont do anything. battery has a good charge and it is getting good fuel pressure to the rail and good spark. when trying to turn it over it sounds like it wants to start but it doesnt. any help is appretiated. sorry for the long post

Try testing your alternator. Sounds like

If the F pump runs and you have pressure/volume, will it fire on a short shot of ether? If so, look for a pulse at the injectors. Or, look there first

still not start tested the alternator and it is fine installed new fuel pump and battery. idk what the issue can be fuel pressure is where its supposed to be. has a long crank time with no start and backfires thru the intake. any ideas

If I may, anytime you get a backfire through the intake either the spark is getting there at the wrong time or an intake valve is open when it should be closed. Since we don't know the mileage on the engine it could have jumped time or there is something in the ignition system that is sending spark to the wrong cylinder at the wrong time.
A compression test might help eliminate, or at least point you in the right direction.

Try to reset your dtc's, or unplug your battery for a while, sounds like it could be fuel control module though.

i finally got this thing to start it is really irritataing. now that i have got it started the truck wont idle properly due to i have no idea. i can rev it up in park but when i put it in drive and try to power brake as you can say rpms only go to 1000.

What engine do you have in it? Since I don't see it mentioned anywhere, Did you change the fuel filter? Did you just purchase fuel shortly before the trouble started? What did you do to finally get it to start?
