Any CEL?

What should be done before condemning any one cylinder, is a diagnostic 'Cylinder Contribution Test'run to verify for an evencylinder balance/performance,as well as for a direction should one or more of the cylinders prove to be below spec performance.. Also, for any prior codes.. Generally the #8 injector 'cackle' was an audible issue and sounded, or could, like a low end rod knock.. The fix was for a long lead injector install and a recalibration to correct the concern.. Could be engine harness problems, IDM, failing injector/s ect. and a scan should be run prior to any work to try and pin point a fault.. Whats the mileage?
