Default Oil filter leak

Ok so I have a 2002 f250 with the 5.4l. I found a small oil leak between the oil filter and oil cooler. I thought maybe it was an issue with the oil cooler so I replaced it. I bought a Dorman part from auto zone. After replacing it the leak is even worse. It leaks between the oil filter and oil cooler where the oil filter seals. Has anyone had this issue? I’m guessing the oil cooler isn’t machined flat or maybe square with the threaded piece for the oil filter. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Is there a better aftermarket part you guys have found? Thanks!

The threads the oil filter screws into is tight that’s what mounts the oil cooler. I’ve tried motorcraft and wix xp filters.
