Default Out of state new superduty purchas

Newbie to this forum and wondering if anyone has had issues recently trying to purchase a new Ford in a state other than California with the idea of having shipped to California? I have spoken with several dealers in the past week about purchasing a truck from them and then shipping back to my home in california and they have said they can do it, or they do it all the time, but then an hour or even a day later they get back to me and say they are no longer able sell to California because of legal reasons. I have tried dealers in NC, AL, NM, IA, with no luck. Not sure I understand why considering the trucks I have been interested in F250 7.3 gas have all been 50 state emissions compliant and carry GVWR well under 11500#. Has anyone had this issue?

California has much stricter emission regulations than just about any other state.

Many times purchases of gasoline operated equip state , "Not for sale in California"

get what your saying but the f250s have “50 state emissions” meaning they are compliant with all states emission regs.

Don't know if there is a sales tax there, maybe they don't want to lose the revenue ???

I'm sure they don't as fast as oil companies are "exiting".
