Just picked up a 2009 f350 6.4.
The damn security light wont go out. I deleted all current keys from the truck. And tried reprograming the keys. 2 keys. Followed the steps. And the security light remqins on. The radio is missing. I have an autel ms960 diag tool. Do i need to tow this to a dealer to get the damn keys redone? the truck wont crank from the key obv. ford tol me that the keys probly needed reprogramed becuase the batts were dead when i bought the truck.

 

You must have 2 working keys in order for you to program any addl ones yourself.

If you cancelled out the 2 working keys you need to get 2 programmed to your vehicle.
A certified locksmith may be able to reprogram 2 keys for you and could be cheaper than a dealership.
This will need to be done where your vehicle is presently parked , unless you can get it to the locksmith or the dealer.

 

thanks. i was able to get the light to go out by programming my keys.. still have a no crank tho probly the radio missing is cuasing it
