I bought a new remote for the keyless entry and was told I could program it myself. Not true. It is resisting my every effort. Directions say to go from Off to Run eight times in ten seconds, the dock locks will click, and within 20 seconds I should hit any button on the remote and it will be programmed. It is not working. Help.

Do you have two sets of keys? I usually recommend to my customers that they let them program it with the IDS out in the breezeway.
