I bought a 2004 Explorer and it did not come with a keyless remote so I ordered 2 of them directly from my local ford dealer. I have gone through the programming steps just as the instructions said turning the key off and on 8 times until the doors lock and unlock, leaving it in the on position I press a button on the remote and nothing. They have good batteries in them. Has anyone else experienced this? This explorer had some broken wires in the wiring harness that is located in the drivers door causing the infamous door ajar light to stay on and the dash lights to be messed up, I had that all fixed hoping that would fix the problem but it did not. Please help
