Radio has power but won't come on
I have two F-250's and both of them the radio quit working but still has power to it. I can push the menu button and the clock comes on and it will take a cd and eject it but it will not play the cd or the radio. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks for the help. I just checked the batteries and they were still good. I took off the cables and cleaned everything real good. Put a charger on both batteries and the charger also said the batteries were fully charged. I then connected the batteries and tried the radio again and at first nothing but when I started the truck it can on for a nanosecond then went off again. So it helped a little because it wasn't coming on at all before. Thanks for your help.
No Prob
Also have Discovered I have alternator probs so they say that had an affect on the computer ...
When your Radio will not come on do your power windows roll down? Mine Didnt so i am not sure if we have the same Prob
Hope it works out for you

I will check that too. Thanks. My windows are fine in both trucks. Everything seem to be fine except the radio. At least for now. Thanks for your help again. I will post what I find out.
Had the same problem with a Ford Ranger. We found that the fuse... even though it showed to be good, and had power to both sides, wasn't making contact on the outgoing side. We had to clean and pinch the terminals to make good contact, and it has worked correctly every since.
Last minute thought... Most, if not all of these radios have 2 power wires. One is constant for memory and the main for playing the radio. Play is switched and memory is constant.
