Default Rear O2's and dual exhaust

I have a '04 F250, 5.4 gas. I would like to put true dual exhaust on it. My question is: How will this affect the rear O2 sensors? Are these required? What about gas mileage?

Any thoughts appreciated, as well as recommendations on exhaust. Maybe I don't really need duals...

Thanks!

Default Duals for new cars

Newer vehicles are managed by computers so you have to keep them happy! Most run the headpipes together and through a cat then split the pipes back which doesn't do much if anything for performance--it's for looks!

Hi Ya ROARRR,
You probably didn't notice the post was from 2012 and they probably sold the vehicle by now ! Good advice though.
