Default Shift solenoids

Hello,
New to the forum here,

I have a 2008 ford f250 5.4L with the 5R110W transmission. I've gotten code p0755, "shift solenoid b". Changed the fluid, filter and found the solenoid to be at fault. Not a big deal to replace it, but there's a huge price difference between aftermarket and oem.

Ford is $335 at the dealer, $225 on Amazon, ATP is $50 on rock auto. Pioneer is $80 at oreillys.

Question i have, is the ford oem solenoid really $200 worth better? Would like to save some money but also don't want to be tearing it out 6 months later.

Thanks in advance,

Billy

If you DIY it, go aftermarket and replace not just one but the whole pack.

Before the purchase, you might check where the part was made. If from rice land, keep in mind, you get what you pay for.

If OEM lasted this long, something to think about. Dealerships can't afford come backs.!

1) aftermarket ABCDE
2) OEM B only
3) OEM A and B

Aftermarket you still get 12 months warranty. Of course OEM must be better but you get next to no warranty when you DIY it without ford dealership or a shop with certified technicians and all the paper works, you are gonna have a hard time to claim on warranty as if there was no warranty at all.
If I were to go for OEM I would at a minimum change A and B.
Not sure how he determined B must be at fault, sometime it can be a wiring issue.
