This weekend my steering on my f250 seemed to lock up , the steering wheel was off center about a quarter and it would pull to the left . Then it came unstuck and then pulled to right . I pulled off the road and rotated the steering wheel and it seemed fine going to the left but when I went back to the right just passed center it seemed to get tight and then I heard a pop and then steering was fine .

 

I would not drive it again until you got a good look at the steering system. Examine all the movable parts and see what might be loose. Please don't drive it until you are sure.
