Temperature Gauge Not working
I just had the temperature gauge wire on the engine (near the thermostat) replaced after it broke. The gauge still does not work. Any suggestions what to look for next?

What might be considered,,,,,
What or why did the wire break in the first place?
That wire needs to be verified with no breaks in it.
If that checks out , the dash will need to be opened up to verify power is available at the temp gauge,
We will either have it or won't and our next move depends on what we find there.

Locate C150, C1050 and C138 above.
Then C150 and C138 below.
C1050 below.
C1050 connector view above you can see pin 14 is circuit 39 with RD/WH (red/white).
C138 connector below, locate pin 31 on the same circuit 39.
You can test using multimeter and see if there is a break on your circuit 39.
BTW you have 2 C150s, the one you pulled could be for ECU as shown in 3 diagrams below. The one for instrument is shown above.

The hard plastic housing that surrounds the wire had cracked and broke when I moved it. The gauge had stopped registering now for a few weeks. The wire appeared to still be intact. The water pump had started leaking so I left it with my local mechanic to replace and I asked him to replace the wire harness. He did but the gauge still doesn't work.
