...an additional transmisssion oil cooler.Have you had the fluid changed out and inspected for debris in the filter/lines/cooler?Seems to me 275 is pretty hot...where do you live, and what kind of driving do you do?Transmission shops sell an additive to preserve the life of the fluid..can't remember it's name right off...have in my E4OD.

New transmission, I have 3:73, 37" tires on 22's. Im getting smaller tires next time around or diff gears. I put the additive in and synthetic. I live in MN and got stuck in the snow.

THOSE BIGGER TIRES WORK TRANNY TO HARD WILL CAUSE OVERHEATING

Lube Gard is the name of the transmission additive.I had the fluid changed out while my transfer case was being replaced. If you're absolutely sure of the correct transmission fluid you're using ,fine. There are synthetic olis with and without friction modifiers. This is a tricky business,so I would ask a Ford Tech for the answer,as well as an expert transmission shop.Could be oversize tires are causing slippage,in addition to the correct fluid issue.Being stuck, without benefit of air moving through the stockcooler, would certainly cause your overheating issue, even though you probably have a transmission cooler as part of your radiator.
