I've had several f250s most recent was a 97 7.3 and she would scream when spooling up. I recently got a used 2015 F-250 Platinum for an absolute steal. And just recently finished up her weight loss surgery. At idle there's a whooshing sound that drowns out the sound of the engine for the most part but I assume that's due to the tune I have.

But when accelerating even with a CAI the turbo noise is definitely audible but I wouldn't call it loud. With the windows up it's hardly audible. I read that in a lot of newer cars manufacturers are putting silencer rings in the turbos and from what I've seen Ford has been doing it for the Powerstrokes for a while. But I can't find any info on how to actually remove the ring. Is this some sort of forbidden knowledge or am I just looking in the wrong place 😂😂. Any help would be great
