Default What is this part?

I accidentally cut the line that connects to this while I was attempting to cut out the bolts to the Timing Chain Cover. Gotta love the broken bolt syndrome when removing bolts from a water pump.
I'm gonna need a new line made to this but I need some help in identifying what this part even is? What is the part that's circled in yellow?

I have learned that this is a mechanical fuel pump. Now I know. Hope this helps anyone else that doesn't know what it is.
