At wits end with remote
Hi all, my daughter borrowed my truck, she said she accidentally hit the panic alarm on remote, she said it would not go off with remote so she jumped in truck and put key in ignition, well ever since remote will not work, also spare remote will not work either, so put new batteries in them, also fuse looks good in truck, tried programming it, still nothing, at wits end what to try now, truck is a 2011 Ford F-350 xlt, any help be appreciated, thxs
There is 2 factory remotes mounted on key that came with truck which just opens doors which do not work, no buttons on them I have another remote that just starts truck which is also a ford remote, that one works

So previously the alarm button was the only one that worked on either key and now none of the buttons on either key works.
I would probably start with looking for a blown fuse for the alarm system.
Does your TPMS still work, F150s used the same antenna for remotes and TPMS.

The TPMS seems to be fine, I’m thinking now it might be antenna problem, daughter also accidentally pulled out wire for dash cam, maybe it did something to wire for antenna can’t find much info on where antenna is located, but sounds like it might be above windshield, still investigating
So checked wiring for antenna , it seemed ok, so as my final act of Desperation, I disconnected truck battery and then turned ignition to on position and left it for 5 minutes, reconnected battery and remotes worked again, it’s almost like computer had locked them out, even reprogramming would not help, not sure why, Thxs for help Scott
