Default 2006 Front Control Arm Question.

Hi all,
Have an 06 with bad ball joints. I wasn't able to find just the ball joints so I bought control arms and sway bar links to since I'm going to be in there. Anyway, the pivot bolt (my term) that goes through the control arm bushing attaching it to the frame has me a little irritated.

The nut was crimped, loctited and welded to the car. unfortunately for me I broke the welds trying to back the bolt out with a 3 foot bar and had to cut it. My local ford dealer tells me just a 10.9 grade 12mm bolt. It's not, it's 14 mm. Anyway, I digress, here is my problem. What do I do when I reassemble it? I'm assuming from the way it's assembled that I don't torque it crazy against the frame as it would pinch where the pivot takes place. Do I snug it up and weld the nut to the frame and bolt?

The ford dealer wouldn't offer anything other than the wrong thread size and a hearty "bring it here, we'll fix it." I've ordered a chilton book from amazon since no one had it nearby but I really want to be done before it gets here next monday.

If anyone can shed some light on this I'd sincerely appreciate it.
