Default ac and radiator fan problem

2007 AWD SEL. had the radiator fans and ac condenser replaced due to front end damage. ac worked for 2 months then stopped. i noticed both fans were coming on at start up which of course is not right. it was winter so i did nothing. tried it a few times the next few months and the same. then one day as summer was starting i turned the ac on and it was working and the fans were not coming on at start up. been working fine for months until a month ago then the ac stopped working again and the fans were coming on at start. now today it's back to ac working, fans working properly. of course the 2 are related in this problem. if it's a temperature sensor why would the ac not work? trying to find some advice before i take it in.

With the intermittent issue, I would look closely at the relays in your relay box in the engine compartment. They can begin to hang up.

If we catch you before you take it to a shop, you might look for any ground wires connected from the battery to various places under the hood especially to sheet metal. Loosen them, clean the surfaces and reinstall them , one at a time and you might get lucky and hopefully avoid a service charge from a shop.
