I love my Ford 500. But recenlty the dashboard lights are flickering. I took it in 3 times and there was no reading on the computer. Finally - today a reading. Intermitten ..800.00 help me. I am underemployeed...Monroe mi

How long can I drive like this?what will happen? This cost if horrible! 500.00 part cost plus labor.

 

Chances are they will replace your defective unit and send your unit out for repair and you never know it could be to the same place as posted. It's not good to continue to use it as it is.

 

My mom has a 2005 Ford Five Hundred 40k miles And the back up lights were on when in park or driving. And the dash lights did not come on. They replaced the battery and alternator. And a week later the car won’t start now. It makes clicking sounds when you turn the key. It has been connected to the computer 3 times and shows no codes.

 

WEAK solder joints on the back of the instrument cluster. Remove it [if not mechanically inclined, hire a shop to do it], it is easy!!! Carefully peel plastic away for access, and with your soldering gun, solder the joints real good L and R sides. make sure no gaps on the sticks. Take your time!!! Will clear up any cluster issues, hopefully.
