speedometer light out
Yes, you have to remove cluster to replace any burnt out bulbs . ALL cars ever made are like that!! Go to auto parts store and BUY a Repair Manual for it , to have ''MOST'' answers at your fingertips!!![QUOTE=kemosabi49;122439]I have a light out for my speedometer. Do I have to pull out the instrument cluster to put a light in? Or do I have to get a whole new cluster?[/QUOTE

Might be better to have your original part repaired at https://www.upfix.com this way you keep your mileage and don't pay extra to reset you new cluster mileage

I got a box of 10 bulbs for cheap at O'Reilly. You will need to remove the instrument cluster from the dash to replace the bulbs. I suggest replacing *all* the bulbs while you have the cluster out since it is a hassle to remove and replace. The bulbs are not expensive. Google "Ford Five Hundred instrument cluster" if you need help taking it out. There is no need to buy a new cluster.
