Default Speedometer light out

I have a light out for my speedometer. Do I have to pull out the instrument cluster to put a light in? Or do I have to get a whole new cluster?

Yes, you have to remove cluster to replace any burnt out bulbs . ALL cars ever made are like that!! Go to auto parts store and BUY a Repair Manual for it , to have ''MOST'' answers at your fingertips!!![QUOTE=kemosabi49;122439]I have a light out for my speedometer. Might be better to have your original part repaired at https://www.upfix.com this way you keep your mileage and don't pay extra to reset you new cluster mileage

Here is the service link

WHICH light? The ones for the speedo, tach, fuel, temp gauges? Or the small green, electronic info area?

I got a box of 10 bulbs for cheap at O'Reilly. You will need to remove the instrument cluster from the dash to replace the bulbs. I suggest replacing *all* the bulbs while you have the cluster out since it is a hassle to remove and replace. The bulbs are not expensive. Google "Ford Five Hundred instrument cluster" if you need help taking it out. There is no need to buy a new cluster.
