2005 Limited AWD. My upper motor mount rubber is fading away into bits and pieces. Is there a rubber bushing that can be installed WITHOUT pressing in into place? Any help is welcome.

 

Hello idlehands, I recently changed my upper mount. It was a little difficult to do to tell you the truth. I didn't do it this way, but somewhere online someone had a Volvo mount they placed inside the existing mount. If you have the right tools the easiest way to take the whole mount off is to take the intake manifold off, and it makes it very easy to remove the entire bracket from the transaxle. From there you can take the entire thing to a mechanic and have it pressed out. If you do remember to tell the mechanic to press it in the same way it came out.
