The tensioner has oil pressure when the engine is running which auto adjusts the tensioner.
Would it maybe be compressing and giving slack cause it has no oil pressure behind it!.? Once it has oil pressure with it running it will keep constant pressure to the chain!?

I don't know the answer to this, but Is it possible it may require a special piece of equip to pressurize the lube system so the check could be performed?

Alright guys, I ended up calling Cloyes which is who manufactured my timing components! I got ahold of there tech support and told them what I had going on!! So it turns out that the tensioner for the primary chain is spring loaded until you add oil pressure and thats why it is loosing tension then tightening back up! Once I add oil pressure to it from the engine running the tension will have constant pressure and hold the chain in place! Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on what I figured out!! Now it's time to put everything back together!!

Hey guys just wanted to give you a follow up on the Flex!
It's been about 3 weeks since it's been put back together! Fired right up first try and she is purring like a kitten!! Super stoked! Been driving it everyday so far and no serious issues have come about! I have noticed every so once in awhile it has a long crank but always starts up! It seems to do it more often when the engine is warm! Cold starts are fine! It's never stalled or not started just kinda sputters a bit then fires right up and does great! I'm not to worried about it as it doesn't seem to be a huge issue and upon searching the issue it sounds quite common! I guess there is a recall for a baffle or something on the fuel pump but reading into it people have said it still really didn't do much, like I said it starts everytime so I'm not to worried about it! It's more embarrassing if anything! If you guys have any suggestions on what it might be feel free to send away!!
I just wanted to give you guys a follow up on the car and thank you guys again for your help! ✌
