Default 05 Focus spark plugs too tight

We have a 2005 Focus 2.0 with 177,000 miles. We bought the car with 134,000 miles. Wanted to check the condition of the spark plugs but they are in too tight to remove using a regular 3/8 ratchet. Didn't want to go to a breaker bar because of the possibility of breaking a plug.

Is it safe to spray PB Blaster down the plug holes to help loosen them? Is something else better?

Just use a longer ratchet, you'll never get spark plugs loose with a normal maybe 8 inch ratchet. I would go 14-18 inch ratchet without hesitation. Personally I use a 3/8 impact gun to remove spark plugs, install is done by hand of course.
If your not comfortable using a longer ratchet pay a shop to do the tune up and they will use a longer ratchet/impact gun.
