Unhappy 2007 Ford Focus Air Bag Light

About three weeks ago my air bag light came on and wouldn't go off. It never flashed, just stayed on while driving. I took it to the dealer and they found the codes B1868 (possible fuse in the circuit board thing behind air bag) and code b2232 which would need further diagnostics to determine its problem. They said the diagnostic equipment wasn't working right (took 2.5 hours to tell me that) so they couldn't determine b2232. They told me it would take about 1000 dollars with labor to replace the circuit thing and and didn't know what the other problem would cost. I thought it strange that both problems happened at the same time.
They said it would take too long to fix it today and so had me take it home (estimated 3 hours or more to fix it). Now the airbag light is acting normal. It isn't staying on.
Does that mean the problem is gone? Also, if the circuit blew a fuse, why would that require 400 dollars for a new circuit thing?
