Blower Resistor Repeatedly Blown
I have had this car (Focus 2002 SE StnWagon) a month and I quite like it, but the AC/blower wasn't working when I got it. The price was good and I figured I could fix that. After researching I found the resistor tends to go on these so I bought a new one ($20).... It only lasted two days then the resistor went out again.
I checked the AC fuse and it is fine and of proper amperage. I have been told the motor may need replacing, but I don't want to purchase one ($134) if I am not sure. I bought a new resistor, but don't want to put it in if it will not last.
Any ideas, suggestions - much appreciated.
