Is there a way for me to stop my 2017 Ford Focus SE from beeping when the driver side door is open? It only happens with the driver side door. It happens when the car is not running and the remote is far away. The issue is not lights being left on. It is extremely annoying, because I can't open the door to clean the lower part of it without it beeping. I recently bought the car. It only has 36K on it and is in great shape. Thanks !

 

Turn the headlight dial to AUTO or OFF at your choice. Almost all cars manufactured since mid 2000s are like that. Feature like this can actually be coded out (disable beep regardless of your HL dial setting) if you have a capable scanner and depends on what make/model.

 

You might check with your local dealership and ask what the charge would be to disable that feature.
