Default Ford Focus 2009 Smart Junction Box

Hello,

My Smart Junction Box on my 2009 ford focus has failed. I need to replace it. Dealerships says it is a $900 fix job.

I am wondering if you could use a 2008 Ford focus SJB instead as there is one available at the pick a part. That way I dont need it programmed either.

Let me know. Thanks.

Don't know for sure if that is a good idea.
What is the problem that required the CJB needed replacement?

The brake lights were staying on. So I took it to the dealership and they quoted $900 for replacing the smart junction box.

Consider getting another opinion from a good shop that can see and check the vehicle.

2008 and 2009 Focus should use the same part. Retail for the part is $205.50
