I recently purchased a 01 Ford focus zx3 5 speed and after repairing most of the problems another one arose.
when shifting into reverse the gear tower broke and I can't find a replacement part for it. If anyone knows of an aftermarket part please send me the link.
Its very frustrating to have done all the work I did only to have this stop me in my tracks. Thanks in advance

 

This is going to be hard to find
Nobody will sell a part of a trans like that and you may need to purchase the entire trans, from a salvage yard , if you can find one..

You do have another option and that is to have a dealership parts dept see if they can order that part alone with the gasket.
This is what we call a specialty item and finding just that part alone can be next to impossible.
Not knowing just why yours failed, you might find one ready to do the same thing, so watch out for that.

 

Can they order a part thats been discontinued?

 

If it is no longer available, i don't believe they can.

You might try places like , "Car Parts.com".
Again, this is a highly specialized part and you may need to purchase the entire trans in order to get the particular part. Most salvage yards will not sell separate trans parts, but will insist you purchase the entire trans.
