Question ZX3 eats motor mounts

Hi folks,

I have an '01 zx3. In the 4 years that I've owned it, I've replaced the passenger side motor mount 6 times, following the "book", which appears to be right on. Does anyone know of any reason for this to be happening or aftermarket upgrade?

Thanks,
Wolf

There are a few possibilities ,
The other mounts are not good either, heavy driving foot, poor quality imported mount.Have you tried a mount from Ford? ( There's a reason why the Ford mounts cost more ! )

Default Zx3 eats motor mounts

Thank you, Hanky. All of that makes sense. Since we live on a bumpy, dirt and gravel road, I am now thinking about shocks, since the more the wheels bounce, the more stress on the mounts, yes?

If the other mounts are worn new struts cannot correct the worn condition. I would hesitate replacing struts until you are sure the other remaining motor mounts are good.
They all work together to do a job and if one is worn the others can't be far behind.
