those are real simple to do the first thing you need to do is make sure you block the rear wheels so that in case you knock it out of gear it won't roll over you depending on if it's automatic or manual on the column or on the floor? I don't know which one you have. the process is still the same. Reach up under the column and disconnect the turn signal plug and the safety neutral switch plug next is unbolt the cover that's located on top of the column out side of the fire wall should be six bolts and while your right there unbolt the column at the rag joint next is the shifting linkage it should be a rod that's pressed in the shifting tube all you need for that is a long pry bar. then you get back in the truck and just under the dash is two bolts with nuts loosen them using the correct size wrench or socket either a 9/16 or half and the column should fall to the seat. finally you will have to rotate the column to allow the shifting lever to come through the hole in the firewall. welcome to the sight and good luck God bless
