1993 E150 engine swap fuel pump
I believe the engine was swapped out because I can see a newer transmission. The problem is that the fuel pump quit and all information points to a 3 port pump and I have 2. It’s a 35 gallon tank and the pump sets down and turns to lock. Any help finding it would be great!
Make sure you double check all electrical connections to the pump especially the ground connection. Many a good pump was replaced when the problem was an electrical connection. Good rule,, always verify good power and ground before condemning pump.
The part listed is not the same. That’s why I’m looking for help. All I know is the engine was likely replaced and the tank is 35 gallons, the pump has two ports and 4 wires while the original has three ports and 5 or 6 wires
Actually, one thing that no one seems to have information on is the trim package. It’s called a Universal, wood trim, curtains, closet rod and electric rear seat/bed. Maybe the 35 gallon tank was added for long distance because the pumps that I’ve found are for 18 gallon
Is it possible for you to check with the folks you purchased the vehicle from?
Maybe they can shed some light on what was done and where.
This is not a typical installation and maybe an upfitter co that does custom work might be able to offer some help.
Just why it was changed from original is unknown and without some pictures have no idea what you have.or why it was changed.
