Default 1995 F-150 1/2t i6 300c 4x4 XL

looking to get the 95’ forever on the road again and instead of a screw or snap ring holding my assembly in place it’s the tried and true lock ring. anyone have experience removing these without melting this entire hub off for the giggles? Dana 44, non solid model (forgot the name, darn scissor front ends ya know) thanks yall.
pick indicating left end of lock ring; you can see the channel it’s in nearly all the way round
