1997 T-Bird Steering
Hi, everyone!
I am new here, I am hoping someone can help me or at least point me in the right direction. I have a 1997 Thunderbird with a 3.8 V-6, automatic. I bought the car about three months ago, there was a slight vibration in the steering when I was sitting still or going slow. It has gotten worse, now the whole front end of the carvibrates violently when turning the steering. It does not do this when I am going normal driving speed, only when I am stopped or going slow. I replaced the power steering pump this weekend, everyone thought that was the problem, including me. I made sure to bleed the system afterward, and the steering is still vibrating, just as badly as before. Could it be the pump I put on was defective, or could the problem be something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
