2000 F150 won't start after you drive it tell next day.
I have a 2000 Ford F150.It starts up every morning after driving it will not start till next day.It is a 4.6 motor what can I do to fix this situation? It is weird it will start up for me when I get in it in the morning.Drive it to work, shut it off and it will not restart until the next day.Sometimes I could Bang on the dash and it would start. But now that does not work, I did notice when it's warmer outside. It happens more often.
Before you can fix the problem, you need to know what the problem is and the cause .
If the engine runs fine once started and hot , but will not restart once shut off, there are some tests you can perform, but we need to know what kind of test equip you have to use..

I don't have much for equipment other than a test light and a scanner. I don't have much money. So I was trying to fix this myself instead of taking it to a shop. I can drive this truck for hours and hours. It runs great. No problems running. It is just when you shut it off. It doesn't want to start back up turns over and turns over. I have noticed that the security light is on. When trying to start.I don't only have one key so I can't try another key.Can you give me any ideas on?Wouldn't start after you drive it all day long. It doesn't matter how long it runs. It's just when you shut it off.It doesn't want to restait's like there's some kind of security something stopping it from starting.
Two things,
1. what is the check engine lamp doing when it won't start?
2. What is the anti-theft lamp doing when it won't start?
You know you are gambling when you have only one key. If that key loses it's coding you will require road service and possibly a towing bill.
Cheaper to get that second key made . A certified locksmith is cheaper than a dealership. Certified means he has security clearance to access security info for your vehicle..
