Default 2008 ford washer motor is loose

The motor came out of the reservoir and leaks. Since it is well inside thefront of the car behind grill and inside wheel well, I can't see it. It comescompletely out. Is there something that has come loose (holding mechanism)please forgive spelling. In other words does it just go back in and reseatitself and work. The motor works great it just comes out of the hole and allthe fluid leaks out. Any help would be great.

Most of the time it is a press fit and the washer motor just pops in the hole in the washer bottle(reservoir). If it keeps coming out , make sure the retaining ring on the washer motor housing isn't broken . There should be a lip on the housing that is supposed to keep the motor in the bottle. Either the bottle maybe cracked or the washer motor plastic housing may be damaged. A closer look should provide the answer.
You may need to remove a few plastic retainers that hold the inner fender shield to gain access, but easy to do.
You may need to really apply pressure to the washer motor to get it fully in place.
