Just had its inspection... just had oil changed... drove 150km and heard a bang coning from the middle of the van, then smelt burning.
No leaks, all fluids good, couldn't see anything hanging by any thread.

Is this a main transmission major problem?
Any thoughts .. hypothesis appreciated.

 

Did you check out the driveshaft and U-joints?

 

Check rear spring shackles they rust out and let go with a bang. Very common specially drivers side
