Have a 2001 escape. Can a chip key be reprogrammed to another key? Have escape that I would like to use a different pcm with key without cutting and reprogramming new key. should it work by having it close to the ignition while using the original key. How bout if I wrap the original key with foil.

 

To program keys yourself, you need at least two originals, programming is done through the vehicle..
